Before gluing, protect the sole and frog so glue does not end up where it should not. Lay plastic film over the sole and frog as shown in the film — so only the hoof wall contact surfaces meet the glue. Smooth the film tight without creases. A pro tip: place a plastic-wrapped sponge against the sole before wrapping the hoof, so it presses the sole upward toward the natural concavity and the pad cures in the right shape. Make sure the sponge is fully wrapped so it does not stick in the glue.
