SPRING NEW RELEASE 2026 – a Swedish mineral base for Nordic hooves
We are incredibly happy to present our spring 2026 novelty: EQUNIQUE HoofBoost Mineral+.
This is a well-balanced, carefully formulated and Swedish-made mineral feed, developed for Nordic conditions where we have taken our climate’s soil and water into account. It suits you who want a hoof and skin boosting mineral base that works for many different types of horses – and which is easy to match against many different forage analyses.
Why a “Mineral+” – and why right now?
In Sweden, hooves are often affected by seasonal changes: moisture, mud, frozen pastures, changing forage lots and periods when the body is exposed to more oxidative stress. A stable mineral and vitamin base makes it easier to build sustainability over time.
HoofBoost Mineral+ is developed with a focus on
- hoof quality, horn production and skin
- antioxidant support
- a mineral profile adapted to Sweden’s soils and water
- immune support
What makes HoofBoost Mineral+ unique
1) Adapted for Sweden: lower manganese and no added iron
Many feed states already land high on iron via roughage and water. Therefore, we have chosen no added iron, and at the same time a lower manganese profile than many traditional minerals – to provide a smarter “base” in our Nordic conditions.
2) High zinc content + plenty of copper
Zinc and copper are two key players when you want to work long-term with hoof quality. In HoofBoost Mineral+ you get a lot of zinc and generous with copper, also in both inorganic and chelated forms.
Trace elements per kg:
- Zinc (zinc chloride 3b609) 2,500 mg
- Zinc (zinc chelate 3b612) 2,500 mg
- Copper (copper chloride 3b409) 750 mg
- Copper (copper chelate 3b407) 750 mg
3) Extra vitamin E for antioxidant support
When the season changes, or when the proportion of forage changes, the need for antioxidant support may be felt to be greater in some horses. Therefore, HoofBoost Mineral+ contains:
- Vitamin E (3a700): 10,000 mg/kg
4) Hoof focus: biotin, silicon and methionine (sulfur source)
If the goal is stronger, more resilient horn, building blocks are needed over time. Therefore, we have put extra focus on three classics in a court context:
Biotin (3a880): 250 mg/kg
- DL-Methionine (3c301): 40,000 mg/kg (sulfur source)
- Silica/silicon (via ingredient selection and “hoof focus” profile)
In addition, we have added amino acids that are often requested in a stable base:
- L-Lysine (3c322): 25,000 mg/kg
5) With Total Support zeolite (clinoptilolite)
HoofBoost Mineral+ contains clinoptilolite zeolite (1g568): 70,000 mg/kg. Also known as our product Total Support – a well-thought-out supplement in a modern mineral base.
