What you need
- Plastic gloves
- Alcohol for removing grease
- Plastic wrap
- Paper towels
- Heat gun
- Hoof rasp / sanding block
- Wire brush
- 2K Glue (Urethane or acrylic) + mixing tip
- Caulking gun
- Barefoot Pads
- Face mask and safety goggles
Hoof preparation
- 01 Clean the sole thoroughly
- 02 Roughen the sole
- 03 Remove all sanding dust
- 04 Wrap with plastic for protection
Always keep everything dry and clean, and make sure the glue and hoof are at the same temperature – this is essential for perfect adhesion!

Common mistakes to avoid
How to remove the pad
Use pliers to grip the corner of the sole at the frog support. Pry the pad forward along the sole. Then remove any glue residue with a heat gun or sanding.
Note! Always use a face mask and safety goggles when sanding glue residue.
